Mediation Services

Divorce can be a stressful process. Many issues need to be decided during a divorce. These may include, but are not limited to, decisions about housing, assets, childcare, and spousal support. Rather than leave it to a judge to make these decisions for you, you can come to an agreement with the support of a divorce mediator. As a part 146 certified divorce mediator, I act as a neutral third party. My goal is to facilitate the process during which you come to an agreement about what happens next. This increases agency, reduces court time and saves money.

I have a speciality in divorce mediation with queer, transgender, and polyamorous couples. Unfortunately queer, transgender and polyamorous individuals can face unique challenges in a court room. Clients might be misgendered or deadnamed. There may be questions about legal parenthood and doubt over the legitimacy of relationships. Court rooms in general don’t always feel safe for clients who are queer, transgender, polyamorous or in otherwise non-traditional relationships.

In addition to divorce mediation, offer the following services:

  • Workplace mediation
  • Roommate disputes
  • Support with co-parenting plans
  • Pet mediations
  • Accountability processes

I was trained in divorce mediation by the Center for Mediation and Training in both their Basic Training intensive and their weekly Supervised Practicum. I have been conducting community mediation at community centers, bookstores, religious spaces, universities, and music venues for over a decade. I have worked closely with queer, transgender, and polyamorous communities throughout the duration of my career.

Please note: Mediation is not a medical, mental health or any other type of health service. Specifically, it is not psychotherapy, couples therapy, or mental health counseling. Individuals are advised to seek diagnosis, treatment and advice regarding medical or mental conditions or illnesses from physicians and other licensed healthcare and mental health professionals.
