Hi! My name is Rachel, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Brooklyn, New York. I specialize in navigating life crises and transitions with the goal of building resilience, coping skills, and post-traumatic growth. I work with clients around issues such as anxiety, depression, separation and divorce, trauma, being a caretaker, exploring gender and sexuality, chronic illness, long covid and covid-related traumas, loneliness, grief, and bereavement. I also have extensive expertise in harm reduction models to approach substance use.

I work with adults of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. Many, but not all, of my clients identify as activists, artists, and / or creatives. Clients are encouraged to utilize music, writing, and art during our work together. You can schedule a free consultation with me using most major insurance plans at this link, or you can contact me directly.

In addition to being a psychotherapist in private practice, I am a mediator. I am hired by workplaces, families, and individuals to help manage immediate crises and teach the skills to deescalate conflict in the future. I am also a certified divorce mediator in New York State. In my divorce mediation practice, I specialize in working with queer, transgender, and polyamorous separating couples who aim to determine the terms of divorce amicably. Email me to inquire about mediation services.

Healing is an ongoing, non-linear process. You have already taken the first difficult step by seeking care and looking for a provider. I look forward to working in partnership with you.
